Maruti officials talked about the launch of the Escudo in India at the unveiling of the company's A3 class sedan, the Maruti SX4 in India. Globally, the Escudo is marketed as an urban cross-country vehicle that offers the riding comfort as a passenger car. The cabin gets new seat fabric, step lamps, Intelligent Key and six audio speakers. Nissan says that the new X-Trail 20GT is the first vehicle in the world to meet Japan's tough new emissions standards, which go into effect for new models in October 2009.

Hummer H3

Happy to meet you all with an interesting article about the latest cars in the market.The H3 is comparable to a supercar in many ways, it turns just as many heads (if not more), car enthusiasts all have their own views on it and more importantly, environmentalists absolutely hate it, which is a good reason to love the Hummer. My first week was spent in a yellow standard-trim Hummer H3 with the second week finishing in a gunmetal grey Luxury variant. Karl had his way in the H3 Luxury in Perth and spent his time off-road. Before I begin, let me go over the treatment of the Hummer by some Brisbanites. The abuse I copped in the Aston Martin and Lambargini Murciellago to the “you need to think about a smaller car” comment from an elderly citizen when I was in the Volvo XC90, do not even come close to colourful abuse endured in the Hummer. To cut a long story short, the Hummer got egged. Yes, some idiots egged the Hummer, but best of all, they had the audacity to stuff a few save the planet flyers in the spare tyre.

But even from a more objective point of view, we like the Jaguar S-Type. It's a comfortable car, it handles well, and it makes a statement when it pulls up to a five-star hotel. The base 3.0-liter V6 delivers responsive performance, thanks partly to the superb six-speed automatic transmission. Opt for the 4.2 model and you get thrilling performance from its powerful V8 engine. If that isn't enough, you can spring for the high-performance S-Type R, which boasts a supercharged engine, adaptive sports suspension, and bigger front brakes.

Jaguar is marking the S-Type's departure with some final styling changes.
