Honda Puyo

Hi guys...am very glad to meet you again in the series of latest green cars available in the world...now we are going to see about the features of the car Honda Puyo....its one of the hydrogen powered car...The Honda Puyo fuel cell concept car is being unveiled at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. The term "Puyo" Honda says is a Japanese onomatopoeia that describes what one feels when touching the car's soft body and is a description for floating objects. For those who are not English literature majors and don't know what an onomatopoeia is, it is a word that imitates a sound, such as quack, vroom or in the case of Mazda, zoom zoom.

The Honda Puyo is supposed to be a happy little device like an iPod iDog that is to give people a warm and friendly feeling. The idea behind the Honda Puyo is to have a personable design that also yields maximum space to passengers in its box-like interior. Honda says the Puyo uses "gel body" that promotes safety, presumably to pedestrians though it is unclear who the walking crash test dummies were who volunteered for this experiment. Whatever the silicone body bumps into, it must be a cushier blow that from a car made of steel and aluminum.

The Honda Puyo body is luminescent, which helps drivers achieve the correct operating position. The luminescent body also informs the drivers about the operating condition of the vehicle. If the Honda Puyo is happy and fully operational, for instance, it may glow green to convey this message to passengers and driver, which is poetically apropos for such a green vehicle. This may also help other drivers to avoid crashing into the Honda Puyo at night.

The interior of the Honda Puyo has a silky feel and a joystick (that replaces the steering wheel). The sensual nature of this hydrogen fuel cell car also comes with a sense of transparency from its panoramic windows and intuitive operation. One of the coolest features of the Honda Puyo, however, is that the cabin rotates 360-degrees so the car doesn't have to go in reverse.

The soft cloth dashboard also rises up to greet the passengers when the car is started. The Honda Puyo also has an instrument panel monitor and luminous fluid meters. Even though the Honda Puyo is a fun little oddity that will most likely never see the light of a showroom floor, it also shows the company's outside-the-box thinking for this boxy little car. Booya to Puyo for its creative quirkiness!Thank for seeing this post...Happy for your visit...Please fill your comments in the cbox...

Ford Explorer FCV

Hi dudes...in the series of latest green car, here comes the Ford Explorer FCV...as you guys all well known about the Ford cars, lets see the features of the car...The Ford Explorer FCV SUV, first unveiled at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2006, shows Ford's commitment in pursuing a line of hydrogen-powered vehicles. The other hydrogen-powered car currently in the automaker's lineup is the Ford focus SUV of which approximately 30 have been rolled out as fleet and demonstration vehicles worldwide and logged more than 300,000 test miles.

While the Ford Focus FCV has a driving range of 150 - 200 miles per tank of hydrogen gas, the Ford Explorer Fuel Cell SUV boasts an impressive 350 miles per tank. The center-mounted hydrogen tank on the Ford Explorer Fuel Cell is placed where the 6-speed automatic transmission would normal go on the standard production version of the Ford Explorer.

Ford is claiming that the Explorer Fuel Cell has a driving range of 350 miles and that this exceeds any other fuel cell vehicle shown to date. Ford will need to tell this to their Japanese friends, however, as the Honda FCX also makes the same claim.

The Ford Explorer FCV was built in cooperation with the U. S. Department of Energy, who continues to analyze the feasibility of hydrogen vehicles. The Ford Explorer Fuel Cell is a 6-passenger vehicle and has already undergone 17,000 miles of road testing including setting a record of 1,556 miles traveled in a 24-hour period.

As an electric all-wheel-drive vehicle, the Ford Explorer FCV joins the ranks of Ford's other green vehicles such as the Ford Escape Hybrid SUV and Mercury Mariner Hybrid SUV in delivering a sorely needed alternative to the group of low gas mileage, high emissions SUVs currently on the market.Thank you for seeing this post...Happy for your visit...Please fill your comments in the cbox...

Chrysler ecoVoyager

Hi to all...Happy to meet you again in the series of latest green car series...in this article we are going to see about the features of the car Chrysler ecoVoyager...The Chrysler ecoVoyager fuel cell concept vehicle was unveiled at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show on January 14. The four-passenger, four-door hydrogen concept Chrysler ecoVoyager embodies bold design coupled with the latest advances in fuel cell and hybrid technologies.

The ecology-minded zero emissions ecoVoyager uses a 45 kw fuel cell stack and 268 hp (200 kw) electric motor plus "Range-extended Electric Vehicle technology" to deliver the vehicle 300 miles before refueling. According to Chrysler, the ecoVoyager is able to travel the first 40 miles on the 16 kw lithium-ion battery pack alone before needing an assist from the fuel cell stack and 10,000 psi hydrogen tanks.

The Chrysler ecoVoyager also uses regenerative braking to recharge the battery pack that is situated, along with the fuel cell powertrain, below in the skateboard chassis design. This design leaves a roomy interior for driver and passengers alike.

The Chrysler ecoVoyager is no wuss, either as it can motivate from 0 - 60 mph less than 8 seconds with a top speed of 115 mph. Chrysler is also boasting that the ecoVoyager can run the quarter mile in just 12.9 seconds, but seeing is believing on this statistic, so we'll just have to wait and see if the automaker can put its money where its mouth is at.

The Chrysler ecoVoyager features panoramic glass for increased visibility and includes a twin sunroof. The engineers of the Chrysler ecoVoyager moved the front wheels forward in the concept car to increase the passenger legroom.

The interior features gauges the driver can see over the steering wheel rather than through it, three camera images of the world outside the vehicle, and the rear seat passengers can enjoy a movie without disturbing the driver because of direct sound technology. Each of the four bucket seats in the ecoVoyager is contoured for personalized comfort.

The Chrysler ecoVoyager is just as the name sounds. It's a glimpse of an ecologically-minded car for family road trips and other adventures in the future.Thank you for seeing this post...Happy for your visit...please fill your comments in the cbox...

BMW Hydrogen 7

Hi dudes...you guys all well known about the oil price hike in the world market...due to this oil price hike, there is a big demand for the petrol and diesel in India for the last one month...the remedy for this is to use the hydrogen or air as fuel to run the vehicles...this idea is introduced in to the market...due to that hydrogen powered cars are now available in the market...in the series of the hydrogen powered cars here comesBMW Hydrogen 7 luxury car...lets see the features of the car...The BMW Hydrogen 7 luxury automobile is set to hit the streets as a lease in April 2007, according to the BMW Group. In a race with Mazda to bring the first commercial hydrogen cars to market, BMW will have taken the lead in introducing its first 7-Series production hydrogen vehicles in both the USA and Germany.

Unlike other hydrogen cars, which are powered by fuel cells, the Hydrogen 7 is powered by a 12-cylinder internal combustion engine (ICE). The BMW Hydrogen 7 also generates 260 hp, accelerates from 0 - 60 mph in just 9.4 seconds and runs on liquid hydrogen fuel instead of compressed hydrogen as is typical for fuel cell vehicles. The vehicle's top speed is electronically limited to 143 mph.

The BMW Hydrogen 7 is a dual-fuel vehicle capable of running on either hydrogen or gasoline with just the press of a button on the steering wheel. Engine torque and performance remain the same when switching between the two modes. If either tank on the BMW Hydrogen 7 runs out of fuel the onboard controller automatically switches the vehicle to the other tank.

The combined cruising range for the BMW Hydrogen 7 is around 425 miles with the gasoline tank (16.3 gal) contributing 300 miles and the hydrogen tank (17.6 lb) contributing 125 miles. Because the BMW Hydrogen 7 has dual-fuel capabilities, it can roll out before the hydrogen infrastructure is in place.

The BMW Hydrogen 7 is a 4-seater 7-Series automobile based upon the BMW 760i with many additional features. Some of the new features include Park Distance Control, mirrors with automatic anti-dazzle and Soft Close Automatic for the doors.

The BMW 12-cylinder dual-fuel hydrogen-gasoline internal combustion engine provides 260 hp and helps the Hydrogen 7 luxury automobile achieve a total range of over 425 miles.

The BMW Hydrogen 7 has undergone the regular product development process, which means when the cars are rolled out, they will not be individually hand-built machines as are most concept hydrogen cars. Rather, the Hydrogen 7 will roll off the production line in limited quantities as lease vehicles in both the USA and Germany.

In Munich, the first public hydrogen fueling station is being built and will open in 2007, coinciding with the release of the BMW Hydrogen 7. Lessees of the BMW Hydrogen 7 will also be able to fuel up in Berlin, which has two liquid hydrogen fueling stations built as part of the Clean Air Partnership program. In the U. S., liquid hydrogen fueling stations are currently stationed in Washington D. C. and Oxnard, California plus there are several more additional mobile units that can also provide liquid hydrogen as needed.Thank you for seeing this post...happy for your visit...please fill your comments in the cbox...
